As we move toward the conclusion of Kabbalat Shabbat, we share Psalm 92.
Nava Tehila shares their beautiful music with us. A song for Shabbat, It’s good to give thanks to the Eternal.
Shabbat Shalom
This week we welcome Shabbat with Nava Tehila’s soulful Zamru L’Adonai, taken from Psalm 98 that is part of our Kabbalat Shabbat service. “Sing to God with a Lyre, sing with the harp and the voice of song.”
Shabbat Shalom
Nava Tehila performs a soulful rendition of Yedid Nefesh, the beautiful poem we use to welcome Kabbalat Shabbat. Written by Eleazar Azkiri in the 16th century, Yedid Nafesh is considered to be a love song to God based on an acrostic for God’s name, each stanza begins with one of the four letters of the Divine Name. (the youtube link will take you to other Nava Tehila songs after Yedid Nefesh- enjoy them all)
Wishing everyone Shabbat Shalom
Nava Tehila sings Hod v’Hadar, lines taken from Psalm 96 celebrating the grandeur and glory of God, as we sing a new song to the Eternal.
Wishing everyone Shabbat Shalom- a Shabbat of rest, peace, and wholeness.
