Va’etchanan gives us the Shema — the prayer we say morning and night, the prayer on our lips at life’s last moment. Simon & Garfunkel understood what it means to be a bridge for someone who needs one.

We continue to pray for peace for all.

May the One who makes peace in the high places bring peace upon us, and upon all Israel, and all humankind, and let us say: Amen.

Bridge over Troubled Water is a to prepare for Shabbat Naso.

Naso gives us the Priestly Blessing — the oldest words in continuous Jewish use. Simon & Garfunkel found the same melody three thousand years later.

    Our prayer for peace

May the One who makes peace in the high places, bring peace upon us, and upon all Israel, and all humankind, and let us say: Amen.

This Shabbat I wanted to share that we are together in a march towards a better place.

John Legend offers this beautiful rendition of the Simon and Garfunkel classic, Bridge Over Troubled Water.
